Memoirs of a Geisha

I only watched the movie so I'm sure the book is much better. The story is entertaining but why the thick Asian accent? Seriously, it's clear that the kids can speak English perfectly but they put on a fake accent for no reason. They might as well gotten white people and had them speak English with a heavy accent.
